Why Jonathan Schwartz should Twitter. Sun runs Twitter

The more people use Twitter the more Sun gear Joyent will buy. I had not made the Solaris Twitter connection before. Thanks Isabel. Note to Sun: time to throw some capacity, and perhaps scale consultancy, at Twitter. These guys need some “brutal efficiency at deep scale”. So why not prove you can drive Twitter through the Red Shift?

    Someone told me they were using JRuby as well, presumably with rails on-top.

    Nice business sense – word has it that Sun’s working with Twitter to help them scale.
