Our MethodologyDriven by our approach, our methodology reflects the basic tenets of our core analysis style. With an emphasis on context, we collect as many datapoints as possible and then piece them together to form a larger picture. Each datapoint is as valuable as the next. We use marketshare numbers, for example, as a part of an argument rather than the argument itself. We poll customers, vendors, systems integrators, service providers, developers, managers, and anyone else who can provide us with feedback on a product's performance, functionality, or quality. From the volume of datapoints, marketshare numbers and benchmarks, a narrative begins to emerge. This is where our analysis begins - from a solid foundation of understanding. We then apply our broad context of knowledge, a fundamental understanding of the technical and business drivers today, and frame it within the context of a particular question. The question could be as simple as what's the best Content Management system for a given environment, or as complex as selecting the most appropriate messaging protocol for a distributed, heterogeneous high load, always available application integration infrastructure. Either way, with an answer specific to the context of your question, you're sure to get the best answer for you, rather than the lowest common denominator for everyone. |
