cheers Dean - ah yes the good old days. there is a lot to be said for an analyst conference geared up to real conversations, rather than broadcast by vendor- whether old school boondoggle or new school online only conference. the key to a vendor obtaining value, as you point out, is by learning from the analysts in attendance, not just trying to get them to "learn" your a party line.

Great commentary, James... and just in time for my first planning meeting on our next analyst event. You are a veteran of past "boondoggles" when I was at different a company... (ah, the days in Cabo and Puerto Rico beaches) and for the expense, I feel it was a true value just from the feedback and information we got from those that attended. However, times have indeed changed... this is a welcome bit of feedback from the analyst point of view.
