I just don't know if EMC is willing to completely part with VMware. I'm sure EMC will own the majority of (voting?) shares. I don't know - EMC seems a good enough fit for VMware, (if VMware is going to be part of a parent company). If I'm EMC, I'm happy enough to let this baby drive several hundred million of revenue yearly vs. taking a one-time $1B.
