		<description>Agree that the IPO is likely more than a rumour.  I just don&#039;t know if EMC is willing to completely part with VMware.  I&#039;m sure EMC will own the majority of (voting?) shares.

I don&#039;t know - EMC seems a good enough fit for VMware,  (if VMware is going to be part of a parent company).  If I&#039;m EMC, I&#039;m happy enough to let this baby drive several hundred million of revenue yearly vs. taking a one-time $1B.

But like you said, we shall see :-)</description>
