Einstein as Nostradamus: No bees, No life

According to David Byrne we’re screwed. He blames GM. He could be right. Einstein apparently said:

“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”

In case you missed the news bee populations worldwide are plummeting. Ah yes good times. The Rapture approaches. If it ain’t bird flu or global warming or rising sea levels or drug-resistant drug strains. What can I do for Farrell?

Snopes has serious doubts about if Einstein actually said that.

I think we all know what the solution to this problem is: Robot bees.

    Killer Robot Bees.

Hi James! I actually mentioned this in one of my twitterings, but isn’t it a coincidence (If those really ever exist) that around the time that Einstein? predicted the end of us all it is just also around the year where some other predictions indicate that same ending, i.e. year 2012? Oh oh, I think we better get started and find those bees before we run into more trouble!
