My OPML file too big for Wordpress import

wp2

Well that sucks. I suppose I will have to cut the OPML file into segments first… I guess that’s what happens when you’re more than maxed out on feed subscriptions. To be fair to MoveableType the bloglines integration used to work like a charm. So can we get some of that goodness, please WP community? Thanks.

    Hi James,

I have never had the need to tweak this but I think you should change the file YOUR_WORDPRESS_DIRECTORY/wp-admin/link-import.php.

    You will find this line:

The value you should change accordingly to your need should be the 30000.

This may not be the solution since it depends also on what your provider has set in php.ini.

    Anyway, it’s worth a try.

    Hope it helps.

I had the same problem. What I did was to upload the opml-file by ftp and import it from the url. This worked without complaints about the filesize.
