Q: Why did we pay Google $30 last month?

Chris Dalby of Yellowpark.net, the firm i sublet office space from, just asked the question.

I think he meant it rhetorically.

My answer - “to make them more successful, of course”.

How many businesses pay for adwords and have no idea of the return on the investment? Quite a few I should imagine. What a beautiful business model: I pay therefore I am.

Has anyone read what Blodget said about Google’s model? (http://www.internetoutsider.com/2005/10/googles_secret_.html)

We get some juicy insight into what Google is trying to do and what Blodget thinks of it (not). Pity Google’s so stingey at handing back what they take? BTW - anyone looked at Google’s trading practices for intermediaries? Entertaining. Enlightening. Disturbing.
