Google Puts Windows on the IE Rug

Google’s strategy so far has looked fairly Microsoft friendly. GDS, for example, is Windows only.

Notice Google isn’t providing IE only function though. Google’s APIs, such as those in gmail, are increasingly becoming the web abstraction layer–the platform developers write it. Read Joel for the seminal work on MS loss of API control.

The thing with rugs is they can be pulled out from under one’s feet. Google is apparently now paying Mozilla salaries.
