I like running MenuMeters in my menu bar all the time -- gives me constant, low-overhead data on how my Mac is running. I still use Activity Monitor if things get too crazy, but, really, it's Firefox 90% of the time, so it's just a question of closing the right tab.

Good list.

Whenever I use my wife's Mac I immediately panic on my first ctrl+ whiff. What's this apple / command key you speak of? Sounds difficult.
