I actually place this to the far right &quot;Value&quot; side of my BSM Maturity Model.  This is like the holy grail for the bean counters.  We implemented this (w/o any formal product) down to the rack, row, etc. in the datacenter and ultimately could assess the costs per service, server, etc.  This is really just another type of &quot;BI&quot; problem with different data. 
 
For more insight into some other products in this space, check out the IBM Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager (ITUAM).  I&#039;d be shocked that the core technology is much different, just one is a stand alone product and one a hosted version.
