Actually, open jaw refers to an airline ticket with a geographic gap in the middle, that is, when you return from a different city than you arrived at, which is not the same as a multi-stop trip. Multi-city would be I fly from Toronto to London, then fly London to Paris, then Paris to Toronto. Open jaw is when I fly Toronto to London, then Paris to Toronto, with no indication of how I get from London to Paris. Since you actually have to get between those points in the real world, your trip is not open jaw, just your airline ticket.

Since Dopplr doesn’t track flights, multi-city and open jaw would look the same on Dopplr, although different on a service like TripIt.
