Us developer types are still prissy-ass nerds. Working with such cog-resistent “talent” is always expensive, esp. as soon as the (once) cheaper prissy-ass nerds get wise.

“Looking ahead five years we believe every piece of software could come with a service and that customers will come to expect that. We’re ahead of the curve here, but also understand we have a ways to go.” –keep your eyes peeled for “connected” vs. Saa

Austin monsoon update. I’m still all like, “WTF, dude?!”

“On one of the streets near the creek, somebody put up a handmade sign in their front yard that read ‘For Sale: soon-to-be riverfront property. $1 million.’ “

Hey Cote - doesn’t ARonaut like you guys or something?
“Interestingly listed as a synonym for pragmatic.”
I think this is because in the past “pragmatic” was mostly applied to businessmen and others who didn’t give a shit about anything except money; in particular they didn’t care about the humanities, education, or other things considered to represent the higher aspirations of humanity.
It doesn’t mean that enterprisey fucks who draw UML diagrams and never, ever produce a line of working code are high-minded deep thinkers and Ruby XP/cowboy coders are disgraceful philistines.
